Weekly Lunches: PHC hosts a bi-weekly lunch series on Fridays from 12:45-1:45 in Silliman’s Dining Annex. Each lunch, a Yale faculty member or non-Yale guests speaks about their work, research, and interest in public health. Speakers have ranged from YSPH professors to midwives to healthcare consultants. The lunches are casual and everyone is welcome. Bring lunch in from Silliman Dining Hall and come with questions! View our News tab for Lunch Series Recaps.
Fall and Spring Awareness Events: During fall and spring semesters, PHC’s awareness chairs host events related to their topics of interest, from global health to nutrition to AIDS awareness. Events have included panel discussions, film screenings, and activities and tabeling on Cross Campus.
National Public Health Week: Each year, PHC hosts National Public Health Week, during the first week in April. In 2014, PHC hosted over 15 different events covering diverse topics in public health, from environmental health volunteering at the Yale Farm to a discussion about global health with the leaders of Unite for Sight.
